The brief given from Valli & Valli, an Italian architectural hardware company, was to design a handle that invites the user to touch and feel the product. With this in mind, the form of the first Duemila handle was developed by twisting an oval profiled tube. This shape conforms to the natural action of approaching the handle then grabbing. The downward bend at the tip of the handle suggest the opening motion of pushing the lever down. The result is an ergonomic and organic handle without compromising its aesthetics.

Two other handles and a door knob were also developed as part of the Duemila collection.
