Urban Farming
London UK
Elements of urban farming on both the building surfaces and its working spaces is integrated into an office building in a residential area In London. The original solid sections of the office building’s sawtooth roofs are converted into glass, and an outdoor harvest area is added on the south balcony.
The glazed roofs above its top office spaces allow for direct sunlight from the south for optimal exposure for plant growth, and when the plants are matured, it provides for natural shade indoors. A glass atrium that contains both the urban farms on the north and the glazed walls on the east is also added to the lobby.
