A 20′ x 20′ x20′ cube of temporary exhibition booth was designed for the Japanese eye glasses company Mitani, to showcase their latest collections of titanium framed glasses. Using white canvas fabric stretched over aluminum speed rails, the entire structure was extremely fast to erect with a total material cost of $5,000 at the time of construction.
Using eight canvas panels, an enclosed triangular space housing the private meeting room juts into the main exhibition space. Rectangular and circular mirrors are suspended at eye level with collections of glasses floating in front to entice visitors to try on the glasses. Counters made from clear acrylic panels also provide additional floating displays.
